Why is this edition made in China? 

We had several improvements we wanted to make in this edition. Chinese manufacturers are able to offer more choices than US manufacturers in terms of raw materials and components! Frankly, generic stereotypes about Chinese products being poorly made aren't fair in many cases; the paper industry is one example of an industry where Chinese manufacturing can offer higher quality and more customizations than US manufacturing. We didn't go overseas to save money; the price is almost identical to what we were paying for USA-made planners. The bottom line is: we went overseas to make a better product!
